Trilogie Frapin N°1

With a vineyard unlike any other, flourishing over 240 hectares in the heart of Grande Champagne, Premier Cru de Cognac, Maison Frapin excels in the art of crafting vintage cognacs.

Description

At Frapin, time continues its grand work, nurturing passion and amplifying inspiration. Following the line of blends that have delighted epicureans, the House presents Trilogie Frapin, a limited edition blend of 1,600 bottles, three rare eaux-de-vie, three wonders forged by nature and man. A trilogy that links the past, present, and future in the aromatic tapestry of ephemeral cognacs. Trilogie Frapin n°1 is presented in a decanter with simple lines, inspired by the glassware used by the Master Cellar for several generations. Made of wood, the coret playfully engages with the codes of a traditional universe. Trilogie Frapin n°1 showcases the original blend of three vintages distilled on the lees: 1986, 1988, and 1990. It is the 1990 vintage, the youngest, that imposes the "32 years old" seal on the blend, providing structure to the composition. Double gold medalist and awarded the title of Cognac of the Year at the International Spirits Challenge 2023, this cognac shines with its charisma and the elegance of its aromatic palette. Finesse and spicy notes are brought by the 1988 vintage, while the 1986 vintage contributes smoothness and balance.

Color

Brilliant, orange-yellow, the robe enchants the eye with its depth and vibrancy.

Bouquet

With finesse, delicate and indulgent, the fragrances guide the emotion towards a comforting bouquet of candied orange, dried fig, gingerbread, and lightly caramelized apples.

On the palate

The balance highlights the lushness of the aromas. Round and full, the notes of licorice and stewed apricot are adorned with a hint of nutmeg. The harmony of fruit and spice is intertwined with the unmistakable flavors of cigar boxes, extended by those of rancio, ample and sensual. The length on the palate attests to the great age and the priceless quality of such a treasure.
