Description

As a worthy heir to the house's expertise, it possesses great aromatic richness, allowing it to be used as a digestif or as an aperitif, particularly for mixology. It provides moments of conviviality for those who enjoy improvising aperitifs. Paired with tonic, a splash of sparkling water, or simply by adding ice cubes, it will be the ideal partner for original aperitifs and the most sophisticated cocktails.

Color and bouquet

The warm golden reflections give Frapin 1270 a beautiful straw yellow color, reflecting its aging in new Limousin oak barrels. On the nose, its aromas of vine flowers and linden with a melted vanilla touch, due to aging in Limousin barrels, demonstrate a great aromatic richness, characteristic of a fine cognac.

On the palate

Frapin 1270 offers a beautiful roundness, richness, and balance. Its length on the palate is attributed to a special distillation on fine lees, with slightly vanilla or toasted bread aromas. It will add a note of freshness and originality.

Gastronomy

For our pairings with the following dishes, we place the Frapin VSOP carafe in the freezer for two days. With the cold, an alchemy occurs; our VSOP cognac thickens, its aromas become concentrated, and it achieves great softness. Once at the table, the carafe and cognac warm up, and its subtle aromas gradually reveal themselves, all in gentleness. Ingredients

  • Cognac Frapin VSOP / 4 cl
  • Liqueur of Yuzu / 1 cl
  • Liqueur Napoléon / 1 cl
  • Fresh grapefruit juice / 4 cl
  • Lemongrass cordial / 2 cl
  • Rhubarb bitters / 2-3 dashes
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Preparation

  1. In a cocktail glass, pour the Frapin VSOP cognac, the yuzu liqueur, then the Napoleon liqueur, and add grapefruit juice and lemongrass cordial.
  2. Add 2-3 dashes of rhubarb bitters and then mix.
  3. Place a still glowing cinnamon stick on the glass.
